From September 2nd to 5th, 2025, the 16th National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Competition and the 5th “PPG Master” Cup National Artistic Coatings Painting Worker Vocational Skills Competition were held in Shanghai. As a top-level competition in the coatings industry, this year’s competition was hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and jointly organized by the China Coatings Industry Association and the Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Center. Elite competitors from across the country gathered in Pudong, Shanghai, to exchange skills and jointly create a new blueprint for the industry.
During several days of intense competition, Montage Artistic Coatings impressed the audience with its outstanding performance in both theory and practice. Representing Montage, Mr. Zhao Guangquan, Chairman, and Ms. Lü Fangfang, co-founder of Montage and known as the “Most Beautiful Boss Lady of Artistic Coatings,” competed against 30 outstanding wall artists from across the country, overcoming obstacles from the preliminary rounds to the finals, and ultimately winning the Silver Award at the 5th “PPG Master” Cup with a total score of third place.
This award-winning work was personally crafted by Ms. Lü Fangfang, with creative design by Mr. Zhao Guangquan. The piece, themed “Interpreting a Beautiful Life from a Female Perspective,” utilizes gradient art paint to create a flowing and layered artistic effect on a pink-purple gradient wall.
Ms. Lü Fangfang stated, “Standing here, I want everyone to witness: in the world of brushes, gender is no limit; only strength and passion are the keys to success!” This work fully demonstrates Montage’s industry-leading technical reserves and adaptability in color matching and formulation.
The “PPG Master Cup” is not only a skills competition arena for the paint industry but also an important platform for uniting the craftsmanship of practitioners and driving technological revolution.
